About Us

Hi there! I’m Sam Messier, the host of Worst Guest Ever,

a Podcast about Parasites. I got my Ph. D. in Environmental,

Population and Organismic Biology from the University of

Colorado back in 1996 and then took a very long career detour into

K-12 education, where I was the Science Director for the

Boulder Valley School District for many years.

In my spare time, I love to cook. This podcast allows

me to combine my love for the natural world with teaching and

creating interesting new recipes.
